Kurt Vile has a new, 6-song EP coming out on November 8. The EP, titled So Outta Reach, is made up of songs originally written for his 2011 album Smoke Ring For My Halo. Kurt Vile’s label, Matador Records, posted a free download of a song from the EP titled “The Creature”. I can’t speak for the other five tracks on the EP, but I can’t see any reason this song didn’t make the cut for the album. “The Creature” would’ve fit in quite well with the rest of the album and would’ve possibly even been one of it’s highlights.
